Several detailed research projects have been undertaken at Manch in the relation to the establishment and maintenance of trees as well as monitoring species within the woodland and riparian habitats.
The oak provenance and progeny trials is a national on-going 25 year project to monitor the establishment and growth of oak trees in three locations.
